I remember hating 3000gts for a long time. I think it was that you get fwd on the lower models. Seemed disengenuous to have this supercoupe styling with ff drivetrain. Maybe if they had the awd na versions here in the states I would have thought differently. Nowadays I appreciate the 3k more, but it's still not in the same company as the NA Z32 and Supra.

I have one of the most beautiful 3000gt's you can possibly buy. I own a '99... but unfortunately, it is a SOHC base model. I am very disgruntled with my car right now, but once I get my car paid off a little more, I will feel better. It sucks that I still owe 15k on it, but I am working on that. I wish that I had my car paid off so that I could do what I actually want instead of stupid car payments. I REALLY hate that these beautiful cars are fwd, but there is nothing I can do about that (besides taking a vr-4 and making it rwd) I don't know... If someone gave me the 15k that I owe on it, I would hand it over. I never realized that you don't have to spend $20k to get a fast car... Because I spent that much and got a slow car. Recently my best friend picked up an '88 supra for $100 with a targa top and 5 speed. The 7MGT-E powerplant has A LOT of potential. You put 3 grand into this car and you can beat vettes. Yeah... you don't get the really nice look of an expensive car, but you get the enjoyment of beating a $50,000 car when you spent only $3,000. I am thinking about trading in my car for a 01 silverado and put it on bags with some nice 20's and shave everything. *sigh* I don't know what to do...
