Yes the bottom end needs to be built as well as the top no you do not need N2o to run in 10s. a member named al over on Evolutionm.net ran a 9.98 with no N2o. He is running a GT40R and doesnot have a stroker kit like most others. on the 9.9 run he was running a GT35R. He recently dynod 744AWHP no N2o with his GT40R and it was still on his tune for the 35R. You can hit low 11s all day long with cams an upgraded turbo and normal boltons an tune. the car can make over 500WHP before he bottom end becomes an issue. at 500WHP some of them are touching in the 10s now. check out Evolutionm.net if you want to learn more of these cars there is nothing on this site to learn. there are only 2 of us who have the car as far as I know.

744AWHP is a very serious all out effort and is not the type of thing a normal backyard guy is capable of. I agree low 11's can be had but it will be much tougher to do than just bolting on a few parts- you will either have to pay someone big money that knows how to do it or spend lots of time and money yourself trying to sort it all out and many will give up along the way- I see all kinds of guy's take stuff to the dragstrip for the first time and get so depressed over dismal results they never return and they usually say "it should run this time from what I read on the internet" only to be running a second off. Actually talked to a guy that brought an 03 EVO to the strip on Sunday and while we were waiting in the staging lanes I asked what kind of time he was expecting and he said with the way he had it set up it should run 12.7's because he read that others were doing this with the same mods he had on the internet. I watched him do a best of 13.7 that day and I asked how he did and he said 13.2...........

Oh im not denying that it will take some big money. The guy who had 744 was untuned and its a daily driver. as far as someone expecting to do 12.7 and only getting 13.7 or 13.2 than It may be a driver issue. I have seen guys pull high 1.9 in the 60. when they should be grabbing low 1.8s ive seen alot of low 1.7s as well but its a drivers game. with bolt ons\cams\good tune\C16 you can hit high 11s. My goal as of this time is to hit 12s. and then work my way from there. I was just reading a guts time slips that ran an 11.7 with stock 16G. he got I beleive a GT35R and pushed out a 10.5. on the stock bottom end.

The car has the potencial to get there without a needing the bottom end rebuilt but when your that powerfull you need a good drive because even though its AWD it will spin the tires.

I was kind of wondering how the AWD holds up with high HP. What must be done for the drivtrain to hold up to 500HP or more? Ever notice how the guy that is serious about going quick at the dragstrip alway's say's he did not do much to his car and is rather modest but the guy that does all the talk never even drags his car? :)
