I don''t know about powder coating being a fad, thus being played out.  It''s simply a better means to paint metal is all.  Especially metal that gets an onslaught of rocks, pebbles, and sand.  Not that PC is an indestructible method or anything, it''s just more durable.
You know what look good, IMO, is the wrinkled look.  Although, I would imagine it being tough on sponges since it''s not smooth. lol

Its played out in the Evo world to have black PC stock wheels.  Trust me its really every Evo on stock wheels has PC''d wheels lol

Yellow was pretty rare color for some reason.   Most not have sold very well

I''ve seen some PC black with the red rim around the edge like the Time Attack Volk racing rims. Gives them a nice touch if you get it right.
