hey everybody my names martin I have a bit of a problem with my car now. I was driving perfectly fine when all of a sudden the engine jus shuts off on me While I''m taking a corner!! Everything was on like the radio etc so I eliminated the fact that it was the battery, it also has a brand new alternator so it couldn''t be power related But again i dont know. When I turn the the key it wants to crank over but it doesn''t start but what I keep noticing is the engine keep making a noise which I really can''t tell where it''s coming from I thought it was the starter, but then again could be anything else. If anybody can help me on this i''d surely appreciate the help.

Sounds like the timing belt broke, have you ever changed it?

Yeah 100k miles is a big no no, mitsu calls for every 60k.

yeah ijust replaced the timing belt and the car turns on fine, but there''s another problem when driving towards up a hill or any incline the car doesn''t want to go up now mind you Im flooring the gas pedal and it doesn''t want to give me anything though I''m not sure it related to the timing belt problem because now the car turns in fine, I think it could be a problem with the distributor but then again idk! Something else tells me it''s a problem with the tranny but I still can''t justify. If any one can help on this I''d appreciate it.

Do a compression test, you may have bent a valve in the timing belt failure.
