why does my ignition coil keep melting after several months. i got a 2.4L am i running the wrong plugs or is there a short in the line or do i need a better ground on the engine block? any help or suggestions?

First off, you would need to know if there any mods have been done to your car''s ignition system.
Second off, it looks like a resistor could be missing there... I am unsure about your setup.
Transistor type high energy ignition coils normally require a resistor to limit maximum current.
Some people who would not know, remove the resistor to get a stronger spark or fix some other related problems at the price of new ignition coil every few month...
Check with your car''s electric diagram to see if there was a resistor for the ignition coil.
