Hey everyone,

I just bought a ''07 LS Outlander, and i cannot get the speech button to respond. I have done alot of searching for an answer, but no one else seems to have had this problem. Can anyone give me any insight on what i could be doing wrong ?

Thanks!

Brandon

Are you sure you have bluetooth installed in your outie? I believe the LS comes with the buttons on the steering wheel but no bluetooth module installed, so therefore your button would be hooked up to nothing. That might be your problem unless you are sure you have it installed in which case I would take it to the dealer.

You may be right. I believe i have the LS, because i don''t have the navigation. Heck i might even have ES, i''m not really sure. I have the buttons on the steering wheel but they don''t work (which is kinda stupid if you ask me). I thought i had 6disc CD changer, but i do not think i do. I tried inserting more than 1 CD and it wouldn''t take it. :(

How hard is it to install a nav system and most of the jazz the XLS has ? (minus sun roof and 4wd [i know that one would cost about as much as the car costs :P] )

you can replace your current cd player for a 6disc changer for $325.00 or add the nav unit for $1600.00.

I bought a new take-out 6 disk changer on ebay for $75.  It came with the front panel, but you just need to swap the "box" behind the dash.  15 minutes tops.
