As some might know I am doing the EVO 3 JDM DOHC head swap and 14bturbo on my 2.4L 4g64 2gen spyder.

I''ve asked around and done research as far as how much PSI the block (2g 4g64) can handel and I''ve came to the conclusion that its 8-10psi. I will be buying a metal head gasket and ARP head studs now I just need to mess with the block to handel more boost SAFELY. What exactly will I need just pistons and rods? and how much boost would I be able to run after I mess with the pistons and rods?

and should I get steel or aluminum IC piping?

What kind of hp numbers am I looking at for all this, I know its hard to say but just an estimate?

Thanks in advanced
My mod list:
Evo 3 JDM head aftermarket internals with 5 angle valve job (1gen whole top half: injectors, fuel rail, CAS, Throttle body etc)
Greedy Type S BOV (Recirculated)
K & N with MAS intake
14b Turbo
1gen ECU
Stock downpipe, Exhaust and Intake Mani
Cat-Back
All 3 gauges
MBC
Coil on Plug setup
Intercooler
ARP head studs All top half new gaskets and metal head gasket (about to get)
Evo IX MR Fuel Pump

you would need pistons and rods and also injectors. Also ou would need something to tune with. But on that youd be able to run about 16 psi id say which would put you in the mid 200hp.

Sorry for so many questions Im just trying to do this safely

I have 450 injectors what would you recommend I upgrade to?

Is the tuning device absolutley needed when I first put this stuff in?
I know a lot of people recommend DSM Link but I dont have an ERPOM and I cant trust private sellers anymore I would need to find it local which is difficult. Any good place to find an EPROM?

If I wanted to run 20psi when I upgrade to an E3.16g what else do I need?

and last aluminum or steel IC pipes?

Thanks TE that was a lot of help I''''ve been looking for that answer for a while but no one has really done write ups about the 2.4L after they have installed this stuff about what upgrades to do with it.

the 450s should be fine for the 14b but when you go to the 16g your gonna want to go with the 550 at least.

Tuning wont be necessary (i dont believe) for just running the 8psi on the block. But any more and you would definetly at least need some sort of a/f tuning piggyback

20psi on a 16g will require just about everything youve listed and talked about with the complete internals, head, all the fuel, FMIC, and definetly something to tune with.

Tuning may be needed in this case TE, unless the 4g64 comes with 450CC injectors stock.  The 450s will flow more than the stock injectors and could cause the motor to really run rich.
Buy from online retail stores and pay with paypal when you can, you won''t get burned as often.  As for tuning, you can get a GS-T Spyder ECU (95)...after you upgrade the pistons and rods so you can utilize DSMLink.  But in the mean time, a SAFC will work just fine.
Get aluminum IC pipes, they''re lighter.  Either is fine (just don''t use thick exhaust piping, they''re relatively heavy in comarison).

I have a 1gen Ecu wouldn''t it correct it because now ill be running the 450 injectors with the ecu that was running them stock?

I have $1200 left to play with and I need the EPROM, DSM LINK, And the Piston Rod Combo because I dont want to waste $400 on an AFC when $150 more can get me a whole lot more tuning options on DSM Link. The pistons and rods I wanna do since the head will be off already theres no sense in taking it off again and on SBR there about $750 for the 2.4L combo and I havent really seen any price that beats that have you guys?
