Does anyone know at what RPMs or at what speed the power steering assistance is decreased? Is it gradual or is there just a point where it changes to a different setting, so to speak? I noticed today that at about 95/100 mph the power steering seemed to go off or at least greatly decreased, but I wasn''t sure at what exact point it changed or what requirements there are for it to happen. Also, is there anyway to make this happen at lower speed/RPMS?

thats cause you were going 100 mph and its gonna get harder to steer reguardless of how fast the pumps spinning

the only time power steering is in effect is when you are going slow enough to turn the wheel a significant amount. and going faster makes it harder to turn, and also requires almost no movement of the steering wheel. which is the reason why your power steering really does almost nothing for you at driving speeds.
