I have just begun to experience a "fluid leak" in my 2000 Montero Limited.  What appears to be water is dripping onto the passenger wheel well.  What is confusing me greatly is that this fluid appears to be water, not anti-freeze nor coolant mix.

I can only think that it''s condensation from the AC.

Has anyone else seen this symptom?

Thanks in advance.

Did you check all your fluid levels just to be safe, but if its water its probably the drain for the a/c.

dsm, i checked the fluids and they''re ok.
A long time ago, i had a heater core go in a GM vehicle, and this was the same precurser to that event.  Is the heater core above the passenger wheel well in the Mitsu??

Idk on a montero, but when heater cores leak you usually have a leak inside the car and your coolant level would be low too.

That''s why i''m confused.  It''s a drip, drip, drip kinda thing, so at the moment, i don''t think it''s losing enough to show in the coolant level.  Plus, it doesn''t smell of anti-freeze nor rust.  But, for the life of me, i can''t figure out what else it could be.
I suppose i''ll just drive it til the heater core explodes on some sweet young thing.....
