Does anyone knows if it''s possible to program the door''s lock in a Outlander to lock when you set it in "drive" or "reverse" or once you start to move (drive)? It is a 2008 model.

Thank you

Hi from Mexico, I have 2007 XLS model. I was with my dealer and he was not able to program way ETACS this function; but Mitsu México sells an accessory to do this; at this moment it is impossible upload the instructions to me, but I can do the next weekend. The accessory is a simple relay, and closes the four door´s lock when shiftgear is moved through reverse gear.

Hey JSRD!

That is good to know, I have asked my dealership about it too I am hoping they will be able to give me a good answer. Do you know what the part number is for that accessory? I''ll be looking forward to the instructions

Thats REALLY good news!!!! I hope its something really simple to get and install :D I was very suprised when it did not come with it, I had a 2000 dodge caravan, and it had it...8 years of technological advances, and it doesn''t have the simplest thing lol.

I talked to my local dealer and they said that it was "IMPOSSIBLE" to reprogram or that there was no way to do that. I mentioned the certain "component" jsrd was talking about and they looked at me all funny. Just like Arshem, I am used to have all my cars close the doors by themselfs when the car moves
