Hello I have a 2000 Mitsubishi Diamonte and the other day the car was going down the expressway and then it died. I towed it home. Checked Fuel pressure, Fuel Pump is ok. Checked cap and rotor, plugs and wires, I''m getting spark, fuel, compression is normal. It turns over but will not start. Does anyone have any ideas? I''m clueless as what to do next.

When a car dies suddenly, it''s usually electrical, and usually an ignition module.  I''m not familiar with the ignition setup on the 2000 model, but that''s where I''d start looking.

He said he had spark so you can rile out any ignition problem.

What are the compression numbers.

the timing belt could have jumped. it may have only jumped a few teeth, but can still give you spark and fuel, but not crank due to the timing is off. pull the timing covers off and check the timing marks.
