Hi there,

Thanks for reading my post. Well here is my problem I''m running rich.I bought a 92 Eagle talon TSI knowing that the only problem is a fuel pump. took it home from a 2 hrs night drive car runs fine on high gears, but from first the car dies on me.once i got home i checked the spark plugs, the plugs are black.Woke up the next morning ideled the car to its normal temp the car smokes white and black. MAANN! first tihing i checked was the fuel regulator the vaccum was leaking gas from the regulator. changed the reglator and the fuel pump. still has smoke. after further checking i saw that the screw that connects the manifold to the heads is leaking oil. thats the screw in the middle, finally fixed it no more oil leak but still black smoke comes out. what should I do? Please Help meeeee.... thanks!!

Are you running on the stock fuel pump?  Any mods?

How old is the o2 sensor?  You''re running rich for some reason.  It can be because the ECU can''t see an accurate representation of air coming in or it can''t see an accurate rep of exhaust content coming out; fuel output is higher than normal, or something along those lines.  Speaking of lines, is the EGR system still working and connected?  Is the BOV recirc''d or is it vented?
You said the replacement MAF worked a little.  Check for boost leaks, change PCV; hell, just do a tune up and go from there.
