OK i just purchased a 99 3000gt base model. Its a sohc and i want to put a DOHC. I want power and the SOHC just doesn''t have it. The engine is shot and i need to replace it anyways, but my question is how hard would a DOHC be to install in my car as is. What would i need to have besides the engine. Also what type of power add ons can i look into to make this baby fly ... Any and all help will be rately appreciated. O and by the way i picked the car up for $100 so it ws a great deal.

Wow just a hundred bucks!  Its goin to be a pain in the A$$ hook that base model up into a VR4. You might be better off saling that 99 and buying a older model and making it look newer. I have a 92 now it looks like a 98/99

kinda rude.......................Alot of trouble!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  okay here it goes, after getting the engine you might need to upgrade the suspension to handle the weight, change out the ecu, and you might even have to state register in order to pass emissions. This is just a broken down version of what needs to be done. Good Luck.

No prob.  Hey more power to you. Not to sound cheesy but anything is possible if you set your mind to it and stick with it.  Keep me updated I find engine swaps interesting.
