Why don''t you just remove the illegal/hazardous tint and be done with it?  It''s not very cool to drive around at night with dark ass tint when you can''t even see 50 yards out of it at night.

5% is hard to see out of in a standard cab truck and even harder to see out of in a car (especially out the back windows).  Don''t get me wrong, I like tint on my car because it helped keep the cabin cooler during the summer time with the a/c on.  I have 35-35-20 (not very legal in Hawaii being that it should be 35 all the way around) and I''ve had that since I lived in Louisiana (legal there back then) and 35 on the sides makes it hard to parallel park in a dark area because you can''t see the shadows...because everything is one big shadow in a dark area.

Now if you want to save a lot of money and if you decide you want to take off the tint yourself, use ammonia to eat away at the tint adhesive.  Spray it on, cover the window (tint side) with a black garbage bag and let it sit for a couple of hours.  Then take a razor blade and start pushing the tint off, making sure the window stays wet with ammonia.  Once this is done, you''ll have a clear and clean window.  It won''t look like someone just ripped the tint off and it won''t come off in tiny pieces if it''s old tint.

Tint wont pass,  lol now that is funny. try driving a car that has every possible emission controll unit not used or blocked off , then come tell me about not passing lmao.

tint is nothing a few extra $ cant get you a passing sticker for in most cases.

Usually the worse looking shop the easier to pass inspection.  That is how it seems to work here in Ma.
