The last 3 weeks when I try to unlock my car from the remote when it is parked in my garage, it does not respond. When I start the car and then switch off and try again the remote works. This only happens in my garage. Anyone knows why this might be happening?

signal interference?
Low battery?
maybe you need a new control remote? (my previous remote system had to be replaced every 3 years, I dunno why...)

Must have something to do with signal interference then, since this only happens at my garage only. The remote work fine in all other areas. What kind of signal can this be? I am more worried about our health than the actual remote not working

Do you have a garage door opener that also works by remote?

Here is a list of electronics that could cause interference

:

Garage door openers.
Wireless phone systems in the 2.4 and 5Ghz range.
Microwaves.
High frequency radio or CB systems.
Cell phone towers.
Multimedia cell phones. (3G)
Wireless network routers (usually wireless "N" @ 5Ghz is the culprit).
Household electrical wiring (that is only if correct insulation is not used then you are creating electrical noise).

I could go on but those are the ones you''''ll find around your house...

If you have the FAST Key System, I find that if my key fob is in the same pocket as my Iphone, the doors will not unlock. The key fob has to be in a different pocket than the Iphone because apparently the Iphone will interfere with the weak signals given off by the key fob transmitter.
