yes its an interference motor, and no it shouldnt really cause any damage. the only thing that would concern you with an interference motor is if your timing belt snapped. and how do you know that your head is fukced?

Yes its interfernce and blowing a head gasket wont bend valves.

well i when i went to go buy it.. i took it for a test drive... it was getting hot but it didnt over heat... and then it shut off so let it rest a few then drove it about 10 minutes back to the house... and after that it wouldnt start at all... it had a hole in the heater hose and was sraying all over the place... so i changed the head gasket and timed it again i couldnt get it started... ive never timed a motor before so i was going by the chiltons manual.... and so i took the head off again and there are grooves in the pistons from where the valves have been hitting... and there are gashes in between the two exhaust valves on two cylinders... on one cylender the gash is keeping one valve from seating... i could take pictures of it so you can see.... but i need help... im a lil worried
