Currently have a 2007 XLS (Canada), with ~ 21,000 kms; All city driving, no hard braking at all.

Noticed the old sqeaky-squeaks from my right passenger side today. Anybody else had this too (and changed the pads?) at a relatively low mileage?

In addition, something I never noticed before since I always have the stereo on. Car is running and placed in park. Depress the break pedal and you''ll hear a click coming from the floor shift console. As many times as you depress the pedal, you''ll hear the click. Perhaps this is normal operation, but just checking with the masses out there.

The click you''re hearing when the brake is depressed has been answered on this forum before.  Its the shift lock disengaging to allow you to move the gear shift out of park when you press on the brake.

I have a 2007 Outlander XLS (Canada) with 22 400km on it and brakes are still strong and my brake pad are still good for a log time still.
It all depend on your driving style and braking habits some may wear their pad and rotor faster then other''s. You can always ask you dealer once you’re in for service to have a look and tell you what they think.
