Hi everyone,

I have a 2001 Eclipse GT and recently I have been having problems with the keyless entry system. At first I just thought it was the battery in my remote so I went and replaced it. But it still doesn't work, so I tried the backup keypad and that didn't work either. So I am pretty confident it is something on the side of the car not the remote. Any Ideas on how I could fix this or what it could be. I would like to avoid the dealership at all costs cause they are such a damn ripoff.

Thanks,
Battery

Hey, Did you check the fuses yet, that might be a cause, and its one of the cheapest routes to go first best of luck.

Should be somewhere tucked under the driver side dash, down low and you could always check the owners manual. you can buy a cheap fuse tester for about 5 bucks and you just put it to the fuse and a green light will come on if the fuse is good if the fuse isnt it wont light up.

yeah check your fuse...if anything else fail, then it need's to be re-programmed. (most likely a dealer ship option)

If you need to get new remotes, try this:

https://www.thepartsyouneed.com/displayProductDocument.hg?productId=1553

I got mine for my 99 from there.
