Howdy all, new to the forum.  I'm currently a mazda enthusiast, but my first car was a turbo galant.  I've got a Q that maybe some of you folks can answer.  My friend recently blew the 6g72 8 valve 3.0 litre v6 in his diamante.  He got it back today and we were checking out the new engine.  I believe its a 24 valve dohc engine out of a non turbo 3000gt, but the valve cover says cyclone?!?.  I know the JDM 4g63 had a cyclone intake on some of the engines.  Was a cyclone v6 an option and does anyone know what car it may have come from.  I don't think its a USDM engine.  Thanks.

The cyclone engine is off of the FTO if I am not mistaken.  Diffently not a USDM.  I wonder how it got in there?

So let me get this straight.  Because they used Mitsubishi engines this made it rice and unreliable?  Dodge Chrysler just to name a few used Mitsubishi Engines.  Alot of manufacter use Mitsubishi parts.  Half the turbo set ups out there use a Mitsubishi turbo.  Here are some examples...

3000GT--- Dodge Stealth,  Mitsubishi engine 6G73 used in the Diamante--Dodge Avenger--and the Chrysler Sebring.  Eagle Talon--Mitsubishi Eclipse 4G63.  Just to name a few.

Heh Dodge/Chrysler/Plymouth did use Mitsu engines.  You should research a bit more before you open your mouth.  I have seen a few Cyclone intake manifolds on USDM cars in my local junkyards on early 1g Eclipse/Talon/Lasers.  But none of them had the duel runner type intake manifold so they werent "real" cyclone intake manis, just had cyclone stamped on em.  So idk what you have, it "could" be from the FTO, but I highly doubt it...
Not true- where are your sources? Did this come word of mouth?
Well, I'm not them by any means, but I'm willing to bet that they got their information from actually looking under the hoods of said cars.... It is true.
