I have and 95 Mitsu eclipse.  i have a serious problem.  my car will just die.  usually when anyone will turn on their ignition switch the check engine light will come on.  when my dies this light stays off.  then when it comes back on it will start and run for awhile then die again.   you will hear the relays clicking with the check engine light going off and on after the car has died.  it is like the car loses power to everything.  i have tried the engine relays and fuel pump relay.  no help.  to even make it more weird i have unplugged both o2 senors to see if there is problem with them and the check engine light only comes on for a minute then goes off.  the car seems to run great when the check engine light is on.  the car will die while driving and then come back to life and drive some more.  i have been told that the computer could be bad by the dealer.  any ideas....... please help cooley38077.9696643519

Sounds like a really bad problem, but maybe dealer could be right.  Did they do a diagnostic or just give advice?  Their advice is usually not the best, so the diagnostic would be better.

Which model do you have?  RS, GS, GST, GSX?  And is it auto or manual?  The rs and gs models have a chrysler engine, and the gst and gsx have mitsubishi made engines.  So if we can't help you out, the chrysler guys can help.  Just go to a Neon, sebring, or avenger site and they have almost the same engine as n/t eclipses.  So you got a few resources to go off of.  Just reply back and elaborate a little more on what's happening.  Hope we can figure this out and have it not cost you a lot of money
