Hi my name is Dyanna im from Atlanta Ga and i have a 95 Eclipse GS i just got it a month ago. And now im having problems with it. i was driving and it like stalled (no i did not let off the clutch in gear!) and then it would turn over but not start and my dad said it would probally be my fuel filter, and i have no clue!!! I dont know whats wrong with it or how to even replace a fuel filter and the guy at firestone told me he was gonna charge me 187 + tax just to replace the fuel filter and he cant even guarantee that is what it is!!!! CAN ANYONE HELP ME?!?!?!?!!?

or do it yourself. Get a repair manual and buy a filter (~$20) its quite easy

i'd help ya out if u were a little bit closer..im in cola,sc...but are you sure its the fuel filter?

It may be the fuel pump going bad also...Sometimes when they go bad and they are hot when driving the car for a while, it'll make the car stall and when it cools off it'll fire up but it'll do the same once it gets hot again..It happened to me before with a Cavalier I once owned (junk!) and it ran fine when I replaced the fuel pump.

i had a similar problem with the motor home that i used to tow the drag car...when the pump would get hot,it would stop working..once it cooled down, it was fine...dont go by what a moron at firestone says...check around for second opinions..places that dont have rack fees...
