hi, i have a few q's.
whats the best way to fix scratches on my car? i have 6-8 scratches on my car and was wondering the best way to fix them? they are not very big or long i just want to clean them up. can i just spray paint them with a silver can (silver 96 galant) or will i need to fill them, some how, and then paint? or is there a product or wax that fills them so i dont have to paint? or what? i dont know much about cars or paint jobs so all suggestions are greatly appreciated. i really dont have the money to take it to the shop but if all else fails then i might have to. please help, thanks.

if they`re not deep take the car to a body shop and get it wet sanded and buffed. this will also bring the depth and beaut back to your paint!

Pleeeease dont bust out the spray can, youll break my heart. I paint cars in a body shop and that is the ultimate in hack jobs. Like the above guy said you can wet sand and buff some that arent that deep. You can also go to a mitsu dealer and get some touch up paint. Other than that you need to have the entire panel refinished which can be costly. Hope that helps

go to earl scheib and pay 600 bucks and you'll leave smiling!

Taek your fingernail and drag it across the scratch... if you fingernail stops in the scratch, you will have a more major job on your hands... if you can still move your fingernail accross, then you can just have it sanded and buffed. The scratch isnt all the way to the paint... just the clearcoat.

My neighbor paints cars for a living, and this is the advice he gave me.
