What parts are you looking for? Theres heaps to mod to a Lancer depends how deep your pockets go. I have a 2004 Lancer VR-X myself.  No mods on it yet short for $$$.

I just really ned to know from other peoples experinces with parts and i want to know what are good solid mods that aren't outrageously expensive

Start on the intake pod air filters are really not that much and makeing a cold airbox is easy you will notice it will give the engine more power and make it rev a little bit harder.

i don't know if cold air would be good or not? I live in mississippi and its really humid down here. would that matter at all? and i have went on ebay and seen these chips that supposedly add 10 to 20 hp to your car, i think its just a rip off. what du u think? and the chip doestn't deal with turbo at all.

Go with the cold air intake.  The humidity won't bother the engine at all.  As a matter of fact, Combustion engines are just water factories.  In a perfect situation the engine takes in air and gasoline, and then combines them to create water and carbon dioxide.  However, because this isn't a perfect world, and the affordable gasoline we use has impurities, it also creates Hydrocarbons, Carbon Monoxide, Nitrogen Oxides, and so on.  That was prolly more than you want to know, but i might as well say it.  Anyways, those chips do not work at all.  Got with the cold air intake.  It may add about 3-5hp peak, but thethe max gain may be more like 5-7hp.  You'll feel the difference.  You can also get Tower bars, they're cheap and will help the car handle slightly better.  Also, if you have a manual transmission, you would also want to invest in a short throw shifter.  All of these mods may not make the car too much faster, but it will definitely make the car a lot more fun to drive.

I have purchased both mods spyderGS mentioned (intake and strut brace). both work well word to the wise if you have a/t get the intake that has an intake pipe not just the adapter and filter (stock pipe not strong enough to support new filter)

I know what a short shifter, but a throw shifter? I really want to get an evo VII but im far from geting enough money for that. But one day.... So you are right about saying, making my car fun because I want it to be fun while I have it.
