i had a crack in the pipe leading from my MAFS to my TB and it was getting unmetered air, causing the same condition.

I had the same thing before my motor went on me with my eclipse... Is the check engine light on? If so take it in right away... But otherwise it could be something to do with the fuel pump or the injectors... That can be so many things... the Idle speed might need to be adjusted too... Could be something simple and inexpensive...

The check engine light is only on when you first start the car up for like 10-15 seconds then it goes off and wont come back on.... some one also told me that the ignition timming might be off a little bit to could that cause this to happen?

I dont think that would have anything to do with it... I could be wrong tho.. If your check engine light doesnt stay on then there wont be any codes that are getting tripped...
