The engines are the same (the basics anyway) so people pull the engine out of a wrecked VR4 and install it in their FWD model. Some just take the parts (intercoolers, piping, manifolds, etc) and add them to their existing engine. AWD is not a required component of turbo'ing a car (maybe for traction ). Some people even use thier AT in their conversions. Jomojr (a member here) went this route I think. Does this make sense??
