Hi im probably sounding like a moron for asking this but what exactly is ATX and hows it done!? Someone if you have the answer please help!!

So how can people have a twin turbo vr-4 engine in their car then i thought youd have to have it converted to awd to be able to have it?? Hmm answer that please!

I'll try.... The engines are the same (the basics anyway) so people pull the engine out of a wrecked VR4 and install it in their FWD model. Some just take the parts (intercoolers, piping, manifolds, etc) and add them to their existing engine. AWD is not a required component of turbo'ing a car (maybe for traction ). Some people even use thier AT in their conversions. Jomojr (a member here) went this route I think. Does this make sense?? Let me know and I'll try to explain further if I can.

So i could get a vr-4 motor and just put that in my car right now and i wouldnt have to do the awd stuff to it? I bet if i had that power id go through tires fast lol

It isn't quite that simple, but yeah, that's the jist of it.

Price depends upon you buying new or used parts and how much wrenching you do yourself. Just a rough estimate; 3 to 10 thousand dollars.
