I recently got a pretty decent raise at work and I'm gonna buy a new car within probably 6 months... I'm seriously considering the 2006 Eclipse GT with a 6 speed tranny. I was wondering if anyone has any advice on them? Any flaws ?? I know there's been at least 2 recalls on the brake system...

I'm currently rebuilding and modding a 1991 Toyota Supra Turbo so the Eclipse would not be my "high HP" car... I'm just looking for a fun brand new car to replace my 1989 Honda Accord daily driver / beater, LOL... I've considered as low as a Scion TC and as high as a Infiniti G35 Coupe.... but I also don't want to spend "too much" money since I already have my "fun" car with the Supra... so the Eclipse kinda falls in that category :)

Any advice appreciated....

Scion TC??? disgusting LOL I'd say either the Eclipse or something like the Sentra Spec-V SE-R model (I have the sentra GXE and it gets great mileage and is rather sturdy on the road after adding a spoiler the sound system is decent in it with an aftermarket head unit only and it's overall fun to drive... Keeps getting me in trouble LOL).

The '06 is a blast. I've had mine since June, and she's got 6000+ miles. Still a real fun drive. :)

theyre awesome, any car that can run next to a 350z and still be 10 grand less deserves more attention. i drive them all day, and ive found out the auto feels faster... i think the ratios are better suited than the stick...its just kool barking into 3rd!!!!
