There is a 1989 Mitsubishi Eclipse GST with a 1993 front end conversion for sale by me for 900 bucks with 132000 miles on it. The problem is the car well smokes like a Hippy so I was wondering is this a fixable problem or is it not worth the money? The guy says he doesnt know whats wrong with it but he said it still drives with no problems but it just smokes. I'm new to Mitsubishi and I would like one as my first car so I was intersted in this one cause it was cheep and I could afford it but i dont want to have to put more money into the car than it worth. So any help would be awesome.

What color is the smoke? With that many miles it will probably cost you.

Depending on the color of the smoke.. It could be what wicked said, but it could be an o2 sensor that went bad, making it burn to rich and smoking so bad...

White smoke is water.... blue to gray is oil....
