Alright, I know this may seem like an easy question to answer, but I really don't know.

Eclipses are around more than the 3000gt but a 3000gt vr4 is better than an eclipse... imo

Well, the 3000GT has fewer parts because it already goes fast. :-p If you like being a tuner, though, buy an Eclipse, and pump money into it. We all know that that's where the most fun is anyway (aside from driving, of course).

You know that is funny. I was just pondering the same thingright before I read your post. I was thinking about how much the VR4 weighs in comarison to the eclipse GSX, How common the eclipse is where as the VR4's presence is less, GTO styling, road racing, etc.(you can see why this a back-and-forth thinking process). I still cannot come up with a solid decision. More than likely it will be the VR4 when it comes down to it simply because where I live they are much more rare and there are some good sites online that can sell me a wide selection of parts to throw at it. (true not as many as the eclipse)

Well when I think about buying a car, I don't just go for performance and looks. I mean, those are important. I prefer to be unique, so if I like both cars performance, styling, handling, etc, then I go with whichever one you see less of around my home. That was the 3000GT for me, but you gotta make up your own mind.

Okay, I would honestly go for the 3000gt. I admit, the eclipse is a really good car, I would love an eclipse. But the fact that you don't see the 3000 gt everywhere, depending on the year, makes it that much better. Like the toyota supra. I would take that over any common mercedes.
