is this a stock turbo for a 1990 GSX? Or is there another code on the turbo that says more abot what size it is?

ok this is wrong info. the T25 is in the 2Gs.

in a 1990 GSX if its a manual(5spd) then you have a 14B (it says TD05 inprited on the housing) if its an auto I beleive they use a 13G??, not sure if I got the correct letter at the end of that one.

td05 is just the compressor housing used on many mitsu turbos from the 14b to the smaller 20g's. but since your car is a 90gsx 95% chance u have a stock 14b unless someone before you put in a 16g because without looking at the blades they are identical in outer appearance.

I think I have a 16G. Unfortunately I'm having trouble getting the (well what remains of) studs used to bolt it to the manifold out of it. the last owner wasn't too bright and snapped 2 of them off in the housing. Any ideas on how to get them out?? I've soaked them in liquid wrench and been using gator grip pliers still no luck.

those are the hottest bolts under the hood, I cracked a socket trying to get em out. I jus went to sears and bought a bigger wrench and it wasnt too bad.

you can run the car for a while first. metal expands when hot and it will come off easier after you heat em up.

Yeah except the turbo sits on my tool cart with those 2 bolts in it (Heads snapped off of course) and I'm STILL not able to get them... Perhaps a propane torch?
