I need to get the drivers side headlight and radio/CD cassette player replaced.

The headlight. I found one on ebay, but am not sure if it will fit the car (it says it will because its for 00-04). Also, it looks sort of black, so will it match my other headlight? I have stock headlights, btw. Heres a pic of the one on ebay, if you can help me out.

The radio/CD cassette combo player. The upper part, the part with the Radio and cassette player, doesnt work. It simply doesnt work at all, no electricity to it whatsoever. Strane part is, the lower part, the CD player, has electricity, but cant work without the other part. I was told I would have to get the wiring system all re-wired or something because its an Infinity system. Well that costs too much so I thought I'd just buy a new one (has to be infinity remember). So I found this...

Its the exact same one I have. Do you think I should get it? Will it work if I simply replace it? The only other thing I was thinking was, it seller who is selling that radio/CD player is saying he will give me the VIN# so that I can get the Anti Theft Code for it so it can work properly. This made me think, I bought this car for a private dealer, but he never mentioned anything about an Anti Theft code for it. Maybe thats what I have to do with my current one to get it to work? I seriously am starting to think the only reason it doesnt work is because of the whole Anti-Theft code. Well, I just checked it out. I put in a CD in the CD player, and it took it w.o problems, but obviously it didnt play it, but the eject button worked. The clock pod just said the time, nothing about the Code. Then I tried a cassette, and the cassette player wouldn't even take it. It had no electricity, but it just wouldn't take it, the cassette would just jump out. Clock pod just showed the time. Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Ok to start why do you need this stuff? you might have a blown out fuse and that is causeing them not to work. Now from 2000-2002 the headlights are the exact same, they were all black housings starting in 2003-2005 they went with a chrome housing. If you have chrome then they are not stock. if yours are black then yes that one will match all years from 2000-2005 will bolt right in but they just look different

ok in these pics the first is the Chrome housings which you prob. dont have and the second is the black housings which should be exactly the ones you have. beside that if you buy the radio and it doesnt come with the card with the code then it will not work no matter what measures you take. the dealer can get the code i think with the VIN # of the car but where yours it would not be your origanal than it wont work that way. the anti theft is a code you need if say you unplug your battery the code reactivates the radio unit. If that is your problem it will say CODE on the display. That is not your problem here But like I said check your fuses just to be safe I am willing to bet you poped one or two of them and that is your whole problem. And if so then you will only need to pay a few dollars for some fuses rather than a hundred or so

i would go ahead and replace both of the headlight housings. you can get double halo projectors off ebay for like $225 which is pretty cheap. or you could buy the stock 03+ headlights that are chrome.

Yeah, I do have the stock 00-02 headlights. Thanks, I'll be getting the headlight now.

Oh, and for the radio, since it didnt say CODE in the clock pod, I am hoping it is just a blown fuse. Either blown fuse or Code, I hope its one of those two.

More than likely it is only a fuse, id bet it is that. I have done it before in my 00 GS and I thought I blew ou the unit. turned out to be only a fuse in the fuse panel need to be changed out

Yeah I'd recommend checking fuses. I don't know WHO told you that the whole thing would need rewired just because it's an infinity radio. Quite frankly the FIRST upgrade I do to ALL my cars is REPLACE the head unit with an aftermarket (Currently running a pioneer in my Sentra which is all I drive Eclipse is a project car). IMO the stock things sound like CRAP and only work right once in a while.

check your fuses first, before replacing your head light w/ a carbon look head light.

Nah I don't like ANY stock stereo period. I have ALWAYS noticed that there's better sound from an aftermarket and I'm ALL about some sound quality

Aftermarket head units always sound better. they have a higher output in most cases but the stock Infinity is very nice sounding for stock it is better than what alot of cars have to offer fresh out of the box(other than the center Clock pod speaker). I beleive the infinity in the GT is 210Watts and the GS was 140Watts and both sounded good but the GT was better, I have owned both a GT and a GS
