You will need a new manifold for it to work....prob. a few new IC pipes too.

umm....I'm not too familiar with that manifold, but if you are curious and find a turbo you like then call the company that makes it and see if they know whether it would fit your manifold.  They will def. know.

I am not absolutely sure, but i *think* you can use the new EVO8 16g turbo.  It's a 16g based on a td04, so maybe it can work.  Spydermans right for the most part, you'll need new ic stuff and a few other things.  What are you driving?

Oh, you can use the 15g and 17c turbos i think.  They are upgrades for the 13g turbo on 3KGT's, so perhaps they can work.  I'm guessing you drive a starion????  Maybe????  i dunno

ooooohhhh, ok.  By built engine i'm assuming you have some forged internals.  Well, i'm not exactly sure which turbo you can use.  Is the timing belt on the left or right side of the engine?  Also, what's the specs on the te04?  Chances are if it's an aftermarket turbo, it'll flow like a td05 14b or similar.  A 16g would be a modest upgrade, but you'll need to upgrade the fuel system first.

yea the fuel system will be upgraded.  ive got forged pistons and rods, another used block, billet main caps, new ported heads with bigger intake exhaust valves.  the timing belt is on the passenger side.  i dont know the specs?  i dont think its anything spectacular.  this guy online said i could get a te04h ported with new internals to a 15g for $495 with no core charge (would that be worth it, i dont know much about mitsubishi turbos).  heres his site www.mjmturbos.com have you guys heard anything good or bad about them?  thanks, justin

the 14b turbo can be replaced with a evo16 g turbo with no other mods needed any mitsu turbo can be interchanged with another mitsu turbo rather it be a 20g or 16g. Now you cant use all the power of the bigger turbos but they are direct swaps pull the manifold and the oil and coolant lines along with the downpipe bolts the pull it out and replace it. i have a 91 gst witha a super 16g turbo and need no other mods to do so. If you are looking to run more boost then the fuel system will need to be upgraded but the internalls are good for some time. The eclipse 4g63 motor is the strongest 4 cly motor to date. I run 15psi daily on 92 pump gas and on racing gas i run 19 psi stock internals. Hit up Dreamspeed Performance they can get you all the turbos you need.805-925-8992
