My 2001 eclipse GT is squeaking as I brake and i think i need to replace the brake pads maybe the rotors too, im not sure. I was wondering if anyone knows what would be a good basic set of pads and maybe rotors to get for my car.

i would suggest powerslot rotors and hawk pads. i can post a link to a group buy where you can get a front and rear set of powerslot slotted rotors and a set of hawk pads for $375 shipped. however, i don't know how the admins will respond if i post it since the group buy is located on another forum. you can send me a PM if you like.

BTW, i have this combo on my '03 GT and i love it.

just go to kragen and ask for some quiet pads. upgraded pads will hurt stock rotors IMO

I think we hit on a parallel idea in another thread about brake squeak on new brakes as well as brake break in periods. Might want to search for something along those lines in the forum and see if the thread comes up (I could be wrong it MAY have been the nissan forum I visit).
