If you have a 2nd Gen eclipse, would it be worth it putting the 14b turbo on it?

What type of advantages are possible from putting the 14b turbo on the 2gen eclipse?

I think it would be a waste of time. if want to change the turbo then id get a big one and never do it again cause what if two years from now you want to go bigger than you do it all over and spend that much more money. But thats my opinion.

Id have to disagree. 14bs can be found used for $75 if you look around, and are almost as good as a basic 16g. Sure its still a small turbo, but a big improvement over the t25 (you could run 12's with it) and a great first turbo to learn how to tune with. I really believe its wise to start small and try to make all the power you can with what you have. You learn a lot more that way and when you get a big boy turbo you will know exactly what you are doing.

The reason I bring it up is, a friend had a 14b sitting in his basement and said he would put it on for no cost... The T25 seems like there is a big difference in how fast it spools up compared to the 14b, but Im curious if its worth it on top end? or where I would feel the biggest improvement? Or any at all?

it probably won't spool as fast but it will still spool fast. hell, if its free, what does it matter? you will see gains.
