Hey everyone, i just started driving bout 6 months ago and i never really cared about cars before that. now sience im driving i have found a new obsession with cars. i want to know if there is any sites or books for a person new to cars. i cant really experement on cars right now though because my dad wont let me tear apart his dodge ram. the only real thing i know bout how to mess with cars is how to changw oil and air filters, so anyone know of any places to get tons of good info for starters? im talking bout more general stuff. like a site that tells you the components like camshafts, valves, spark plugs, etc. and what each actually does. then from there after i get that knowledge ill go to more advanced stuff.

I learned from just digging in and getting my hands dirty--of course i have had a better opportunity to learn because my family is into dirtrack racing-four wheeler racing. my dads always been a do it his self person so i learned alot from him too because his logging rigs are always breaking down. best thing to do is take a class and get your hands dirty..if you like racing- get into dirt track racing, its not that expensive of a sport and you learn a great deal from the Veterans that hang out around the tracks and the ones that race also! you dont need a book-or website...do like i did go out and learn things the hard way...by messing things up!just some advice...
