the '07's will have the convertables. they look like hardtops though.

slow420a -> RE: Double post from nu-bi forum new 06 *boosted (11/15/2005 6:21:28 PM)

ITs a soft top, if it were hard it would be painted and shiny like the rest of the car.

Lil red -> RE: Double post from nu-bi forum new 06 *boosted (11/15/2005 6:29:55 PM)

Wouldnt the hard tops be standred eclipses and the soft tops be spyders like they have been in the past?

Sanguinius -> RE: Double post from nu-bi forum new 06 *boosted (11/15/2005 8:47:01 PM)

Since when did the Eclipse EVER have a HT convertable?

just b/c they've never had it before doesn't mean that they will never do it.

Sanguinius -> RE: Double post from nu-bi forum new 06 *boosted (11/15/2005 10:09:56 PM)

That wasn't the point I was making. Sorry I should have clarified. What I was pointing out is that the standard eclipse isn't a convertable. The HT convert should be a spyder due to being a convert...

get435 -> RE: Double post from nu-bi forum new 06 *boosted (11/16/2005 7:49:08 AM)

nono There are two types of convertables reg"soft top" and hard top convertables to where the top is rigid panel(s).

Sanguinius -> RE: Double post from nu-bi forum new 06 *boosted (11/16/2005 8:21:24 AM)

I understand THAT part of it but wouldn't the HT convertable be considered a Spyder due to the fact that it would be a convert? Or would they keep the HT as a regular Eclipse? And I'm not saying it isn't a possibility I know it hasn't been done but could always be done for the car in the future I'm just saying that I think it would be a spyder even if it WAS a HT convert.
