o2 sensor is the oxygen sensor.  It is usually located in the exhaust manifolds of cars and trucks.  Many newer cars have two or even three o2 sensors.  They serve many purposes, they can measure the air-fuel mixture and the EGT's.  They measure by looking at the oxygen contents in the exhaust gasses.

Map sensor is Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor.  It measure the oncoming air in the intake manifold, before it enters the engine.  It provides the ecu with the info needed to properly apply how much fuel is needed to help it work most efficiently.
