i know that large leak usually means that there is soemthing wrong with an item like the leak detection pump, or something that monitors the evaporative system....you typically have two types of evap leaks, gross and minor..minor is almost always a bad or loose gas cap, and gross is usually something in the evap system. i find this to be odd seeing as how new your car is...i know that my RT (eclipse drivetrain) has a 100,000 mile warranty, yours may also.

have you recently filled up with gas? not tightening on the gas cap usually causes that code.

A loose gas cap can cause either the gross or small evap leak code to show up depending on how loose the cap is. Some people forget to put the cap back on altogether and get a gross code while others may get it on, but not tighten it until it clicks- resulting in a small evap leak code. Either way- more than likely it is from a loose fuel cap. Try tightening your fuel cap until it clicks, disconnecting your battery for 1 minute (to erase the DTC)- and see if it comes back on within the next couple of days (it might take that long for the EVAP drive cycle to complete). FYI- fuel caps left loose is NOT covered under warranty. Most dealerships will clear the code 1 time before charging the customer after the initial courtesy service.
Good Luck!
