OK I need help replacing the black box thing on the CAI ( has foam thing on it) nobody I know, knows what it is called, the part around the box is cracking.

Ok the black box is the airfolw meter I think, if that is cracking it will be expensive, if it is just the adapter plate that is cracking then it should be cheap here is a pic of the EVO intake and airflow meter it looks the same on the eclipse except the pipeing goes the other way. the Red is the airflow meter the yellow is the adapter plate and normally the foam thing (i dont have) is called a bypass valve by AEM and it is located either before the adapter plate or after the airflow meter

Hopefully this works but here is a pic the thing between the two metal clamps is cracking?

Oh ok that is the rubber coupler, if you go to home depot they should have those in the plumbing section in all different sizes. just bring yours in with you... you might want to make sure the 90 degree elbow up near the top of the engine is stil good too

Those are pretty cheap parts. You got lucky it wasnt something more serious.

Alright I will pass this on to the man of the house, great opportunity to send a man into his favorite store as I hate that store ( unless I am getting flowers) Thanks for the help I will let you know if any new problems are created in this attempt to fix this small one.
