I have a '99 in which I blew up the differential inside the transmission. What I did is went on car-parts.com and bought a used transmission. I bought mine for $500 shipped. I have had nothing but problems with my drivetrain in my 3000gt, and I am quite pissed. The new tranny seems to be holding up well, but cv joints and bearings just went out too because of the old tranny. My suggestion is go on that site and buy a used tranny from a junkyard.
