most places will tell you to do a 1000 mile break-in period with a new engine build. there are a couple of things that you need to do during this period. you should let the engine run for about 20 mins, changed the oil, 200 miles, change the oil, 200 miles, change the oil, and give it a lil boost, about 4-5 psi, another 300 miles, change the oil, then beat the piss out of it. you should try to stay out of boost for the first 500 miles or so. also, do a compression test before you start adding boost. when you are driving, don't just stay at one constant RPM. you need to put different loads on the engine. and it is ok to hit 4k RPMs occasionally. it will help seat the piston rings. but don't do it that often in the beginning. your clutch should be fine for a while with that amount of boost.
