ok I know I saw someone ( I believe it was our most honorable moderator ) say something about all the super chips that are all over ebay. I know most of them are no more than a 50 cent resistor and pretty worthless . What about the ones you get for around $50 to $75 that are adjustable and ( by picture ) are clearly not just a resistor ( multiple wires , box and whatnot).

I never got into the chips, for the fact that I have turbo, and for the JET chip, I'd have to send my ecu into jet to get reprogrammed, and I don't think it would help all that much. sorry I can't help you out with that though.

Sorry to say that i had invested like $40 into on of these so called modules. There nothing but a bunch of wires hooked up to a resistor in a box. Hope this helps.

Hey madmat why not just go aftermarket ecu (computer) like MicroTech, Wolf 3d they may cost alot but once you hook them up to a notebook (laptop) you can tune your car on the run and get best performance. I've heard about those racing chips and they don't really do anything.

all the modules are is a resistor in a box that tells the computer that it is 32 degrees outside and shifts the fuel map accordingly. only works durring summer, and then the o2 sensor and the iat sensor argue. so it doesnt help as much as it should.
