Hi

I purchased my 1996 Paj 3500 Auto on 147000km, done 8000km now, this week the Paj started overheating, took it to the dealership, bad news head gaskets blown, possibly cracked.

Now I found out that the heads were skimmed the week before I purchased the Paj, and a month before that the waterpump was also replaced, leaving me thinking that the vehicle was possibly driven very hot.

Since the heads were skimmed 8000km ago, and I now have a recurring problem what else do I need to check for that can cause this?

Is it dangerous to keep the Paj, or should I look at replacing, the dealership who sold me the Paj did not mention the repair, and that alone is enough to force them to refund me in full, but unless necessary I don't want to go that route, but obviously something is not right, and the cost of the repair is huge and cannot afford for this to happen a third time.

Would love to hear your comments!

what's a paj? anyway a repair like that as you know can cost alot and can lead to other problems you don't even know about yet. since I don't know what a paj is I couldn't tell you if it's worth repairing or not so I would say get your money back and go somewhere else for a car.

oh a Montero? nice ride. well if it's going to cost more than the paj is worth to fix it get your money back and get another one elsewhere.
