THE06ECLIPSE -> Need to pick your brains (12/12/2005 2:22:34 PM)

I was wondering what was the "Motor to Have" among Mitsubishi 4 cylinders? If anybody know what is the preference between them please let me know. Thanks

4g63 seems to be the most popular it is also avery strong motor.

6-bolt 4G63t

Sanguinius -> RE: Need to pick your brains (12/12/2005 3:57:32 PM)

Yeah 4G63 6bolt block is definately the one to go with.

there IMO are to motors that are very good. The 4G63 is prob. the best\ strongest stock and then the 4G64 more TQ but not as strong as the 63. with a built 4G64 it would prob do fairly well for power if a turbo was added sine it has a larger displacement than the 4G63 2.0L Vs 2.4L

are you lookign to put a diff motor into your 06 eclipse? or is that just your name? (cause your name implies you have an 06 eclipse..j/w)

Sanguinius -> RE: Need to pick your brains (12/13/2005 3:44:42 AM)

I'd say 4G63 with a 4G64 head...

THE06ECLIPSE -> RE: Need to pick your brains (12/13/2005 2:38:08 PM)

Yes it's an 06 Eclipse and no I don't plan on putting in a new motor anytime soon. I just want to see what's moving the Mitsubishi world before I start planning upgrades and such.

I think you mean the other way around?? the 4G64 head was single cam and block was a 2.4L the 4G63 was DOHC and block is 2.0L[;)]
