Ok heres the deal. my galant had been a sitting duck for 7 months. i got insurance back on and wanted to take it out. so i started the car with my uncles battery then switched it with mine the car was fine but when i tried to close the windows it turned off, so i jumped it. then my genious of a father crosses the cables (+,- and vise versa). i guess since it was dark out, anyway my car went crazy (my windshield wipers were off but moving, my headlights were going on and off). It hasn't maintained a charge since.

So i take the car to sears, wich i regret doing. They had no idea what they were doing. They changed the battery and nothing, they changed the alternator and nothing. my car was still on the highway to mitsubishi heaven. thats when decided to take it to a local mechanic thinking i'd have better luck, but i didnt. they changed my airflow meter and then my whole computer and the car still drains the battery. so im guessing its an electrical problem, a short circuit or something. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Oh, and another thing i bought an alternator from a junkyard when the problem first accured. my friend installed it. could it be that the belt isnt tight enough. just wondering?
