Hi just bought a 2006 evo mr and wondering what kind of blow off valve is best for my car? Dont plan on upgrading the turbo so I need one that isnt in excess of over the hp of the evo presently.... Ive seen some 500 hp and higher rated blow off valves but dont think I need that .... Just want a opinion on what is the best cause i rather spend more for something that is good then get screwed in the end :-) thanks

ok well BOV arnt nessesaryily measureding HP as it is boost PSI, a 500hp rated BOV could only need to hold 20PSI on some cars where as others may need 30+PSI. I would say the Turbo XS type H I belive or the Greddy Type S would be best for you since they are easily plumbed back into the intake as needed. other wise you can get the JDM MR DV which is just as good and is a cheap option. your car should be running around 20\21 PSI stock so they should be more than enough to not leak under load

I heard that the HKS sequential was alright. I have an 05 EVo and I just ordered one. It's the whole kit so there's no cutting I'm told. I'll let you know how it turned out in about a week. Question, The EVO runs 20lbs of boost stock??

yes the 05s run 20.5 stock the 03/04s run 19 and drop tp 16 at about 4500RPMs

as far as the SSQ if you dont get the recirc kit for it the car wont run 100%. it will have a bouning idle and you will get more turbo lag after shifts. and between gears if you let the cars RPMs drop all the way down it will stumble and nearly stall out

Tail is a popular one... but everyone gets the JDM MR DV since its cheap and not plastic like stock it holds a good amount of boost, so no need to spend a fortune on a BOV ya know

turboxs h with the recurliate kit works great on the eclipses. Couldnt be happier with mine.
