I was wondering most people says that the New 2006 Eclipse Max/Top Speed is around 142MPH - ***MPH. What happen I remove the limitation, would I go over that? Then I have a much faster then "stock" eclipse.

removing it would be completely stupid. have you even been 142mph? i have, and everything is going so fast that you don't want to be going that fast for long.

its always better to look at it like this....

it doesn't matter if your top speed is 200mph if it takes you 5 minutes to get there. make you car get up to speed faster rather than giving it a high top speed. you will likely never reach the cars top speed.

my cars top speed is rated at 156MPH but I wont go that fast that is stupid. most any car I have ever raced by 100MPH I am so far ahead I just stop. beside that Mitsu is know for have the stock trannies platue at ~170MPH or so other than the VR4 that I know of anyway.

now beside all that I think the GT eclipse 4G could prob top at 160 or so bone stock cause it has similar power as the EVO with less Drivetrain Drag being FWD vs AWD and a lil more aero dynamic the the toaster oven on wheels that I drive.
