This is a dumb question but i own a 1992 Eclipse 1.8 L and i got a new alternator. I hooked it up and the engines turns but does not start. Im not quite sure if i hooked it up right. Can anyone tell me where all the wires go im thinking that the wire and connector that has like a black case around it is hooked up wrong where do i hook it up???

You need to check to see if the alternator is putting out power. It might not be the alternator at all. Check that and let us know.

Should be only one way to hook it up. did you remember to hook the hot wire to the alternator? its the red wire that should be put on the alternator output post.

On the hot wire to the alternator. Do not take the spacer out if you do it will fry you alternator.
