i just started driveing a 2002 gs does it have a 420a?Its auto with sportronic. what are the goods and bads about this car?what the the best mods( no money for a turbo)for the most power

I'd start with intake and exhaust. They're easy bolt on's and will likely get the moost quick gains. Afte that you're looking at probably major work if you're going all motor.

Once you start gettting into working on getting real power is when you need to start doing some research into the different parts and how they react with each other. Which ones work well to get the results you want. After the intake and exhaust are done next you're looking at things like cams and valves, port and polishing, exhaust header, turbo, and gauges, boring the block out and things like that along the lines of tearing the engine apart. That's when things start getting expensive.

it is a ton of fun.. but once you tear the motor appart be prepaired not to drive the car for a while....

Yeah once you get to that point then I'd recommend getting a beater car to drive and do the engine right. Don't half ass it cuz you need the car to go to work the next day you know?

just to answer the question...you have the 4G64 not the 420a. i believe you have already found this out though, since i saw you say it in your other post. so im just saying this for clarification.
