i need some info on this engine swap i bought a 1995 eclipse bout two weeks ago it has a bent vavle so its not running should i replace the head then turbo charge it and if i did would it be just as powerful as a gst or gsx engine or should i go ahead and just do a 4g36 swap and if i do that does anyone know exactly everything i need cause whats making me have thoughts about it is how the 420a engine has the cams on the left and transmission on the right but the 4g36 engines have the cams on the right and the transmission on the left so does that mean im gonna have to switch out the axles and am i gonna have to switch out the ecu anyone with anything knowing about it let me know

thanks

you cant swap a 4g63 in where a 420 once sat (you could but it would be a huge pain in the ass n more money than im sure you wanna spend) now if you repair your head n turbo the 420a again the answer is no it wont be as powerful as the 4g63T unless you FULLY build it up n i stress the fully. but ive seen fully built 420A with power levels a moderatly modded 4g63 can make. honestly i would do a minimal repair on the car enough to sell it and take that plus maybe a loan n get you a 4g63 platform in decent shape but those are hard to come by. im looking for a almost stock 93 Supra (black) n im haven a bitch of time finding one not all raged out. this will be the situation you run into.if you would like ill keep my eyes open for a good platform for you to start on if youd like. have a friend selling a 97 Talon shell (no motor or trans but it will accept a 4g63 he just blew his up boosting well over 40 psi in his lol)
