On average, how much would it cost to have a mechanic install new struts and brake pads on a 2001 mitsubishi eclipse?

it would depend on wether you buy the parts first on not but just on striaght installation it would and assuming front pads and all four struts (not sure thats what your saying) i would say around $500. I think it cost me around 170 or 180 for just two front struts for labor

On average if u go to a dealer it will be more. Around $110-$120 an hour for labor. If u go somewhere else a fair price would be about $75 an hour. I suggest you go to a Pep Boys to check your brakes it is FREE. Then just ask for the micrometer specs for the front and rear. Then you will know if you can turn them if need be. If they are turn able I recommend do the brakes yourself just carry the rotors and drums in to be turned. Just like new. And the struts take those off your self and just have them press in the new ones and you are good to go.
